This is the part of doing this webcomic I like the least–asking for your support. As many of you know by now, I’ve teamed up with Beacon Reader, a wonderful website that helps fund important projects by independent journalists, to underwrite Sleeper Ave.
The goal is to raise $10,000 in thirty days. I get most of it to pay for my time and expenses, and Beacon gets the rest, which lets them in turn keep their website going. When you donate to my project, you get access to all the other great journalism there.
The good news is that in less than two weeks, we’re almost at 80% of our goal. The bad news is, the clock is ticking, and we’re still $2,000 short, and if we fail to reach the goal, everyone gets their money back, and we don’t get to appear on Beacon.
So, if you like what you’re reading and want to see lots more of it in the coming weeks and months, please add your name to the list of almost 100 supporters of Sleeper Ave. who have already generously pledged. Just go to Beacon Reader and underwrite me at any level you’re comfortable with.
Thanks for your support.
